Here are some of the technology stories that caught our eye today:

Microsoft has pulled six of its Patch Tuesday updates off of Windows Update. Patches for Microsoft Exchange, Windows Kernel, and Active Directory Federation Services were pulled after some users reported issues with the patches on their machines.

According to Palo Alto Networks, mobile ad networks are a way for malware to get into Android devices. Some developers use ad frameworks in their apps, but this can serve as a backdoor to the device if that ad network is hacked.

A vulnerability found in various bitcoin wallets for Android may extend to other hundreds of thousands of other apps that use the affected Java SecureRandom class, according to Symantec.
