Marketing Coordinator

Gotham Technology Group, a thriving IT consulting firm with offices in NJ, NY, CT, and PA, is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to work out of our Montvale, NJ location. 

This is an excellent position for someone who would like to get in to a growing company as a marketing professional. As the Marketing Coordinator, you will be responsible for representing Gotham Technology Group’s marketing presence.  This person will be responsible for assisting the marketing team with events, travel and general administration. You will need a passion for detail and strong execution skills.  This individual must thrive in a fast paced environment and have an ability to handle multiple projects at one time.

This is a great way to get started in the IT business. You will learn about the hottest technologies that are now required for corporate infrastructures including virtualization, security, storage, etc. This is a full time, onsite position that reports directly to Marketing Manager. Only local candidates will be considered.

Principal Responsibilities: 
In this role, you will be responsible for

 - Working with the Marketing Manager to plan and execute marketing events and campaigns of all sizes

  • Maintain pack lists to ensure each event has all necessary material
  • Pull and update event registrations on a daily basis
  • Provide reporting on events and campaigns
  • Work with sales to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, input opportunities in to CRM and adjust efforts as needed based on feedback
  • Attend all events scheduled; set up to include load in, AV, execution of event timeline, and load out.
  • Complete post-event requirements such as coding attendance, sending thank you emails, coding evaluation forms, etc

- Communicate Gotham’s offerings through email blasts, vendor communication, sales and lead distribution, and CRM management

- Help to manage lead distribution process internally and with vendor partners; code account lists as needed

- Organize weekly sales meetings

- Organize quarterly sales call blitzes

- Manage Rainking account as needed

- Manage dates and help complete applications for all industry awards that Gotham is eligible for Update Gotham’s social media on a daily basis; research and create content; run social media analytics monthly

-  Inventory marketing materials/ giveaways on a regular basis

-  Coordinate company travel

  • Complete required internal travel forms
  • Book hotel, flights, car rentals, and car services for anyone travelling within the organization
  • Send calendar invites in specified formatting for all trips booked
  • Confirm all details prior to travel
  • Update TripIt account

- Any other tasks assigned by the Marketing team

Qualifications and Requirements 
Knowledge and Skills 

  • Undergraduate BS/BA degree
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in event management
  • Social media knowledge required 
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Willingness to go through rigorous online training and certifications to ensure you are up to speed on the technologies that Gotham Technology Group sells
  • Ability to work with a variety of sales personalities and leverage sales and company resources
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize time effectively 
  • Excellent written and persuasive verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully communicate effectively via telephone and email 
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Orientation towards process
  • Strong follow through skills 
  • Passion for marketing and demand generation
  • Must be willing to work late when required
  • Must have a car and be willing to drive to events in NY, NJ, PA, and CT
