eG Innovations announces end-to-end monitoring and user experience management for applications delivered by Windows Server 2016. Scheduled for release in October 2016, eG Enterprise 6.2 will include support for Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft SQL Server 2016, and Microsoft Hyper-V 2016, plus all other components of Microsoft’s 2016 datacenter offerings.

Proofpoint, Inc., a leading next-generation cybersecurity company, announced it has been named a leader in digital risk monitoring in The Forrester Wave™: Digital Risk Monitoring, Q3 2016 report and was also granted a new patent for its social media protection technology.

Rubrik, a data management company, has introduced a converged data management solution for data backup, recovery, and data archival for running heavy business workloads. The solution, comprised of the Rubrik r300 and r500 Series, is a cloud data management software that delivers data protection, automated backup, instant recovery, unlimited replication, and data archival.

Akamai Technologies acquired Soha, a privately funded company that specializes in enterprise secure access delivered as a service. With this acquisition, Akamai intends to enhance the firm’s strategy in securing, protecting, and accelerating enterprise applications and services through cloud technology.

Microsoft will offer its cloud services, including Azure, Office 365, and Dynamics 365, from data centers in France next year. Microsoft has doubled its cloud capacity in Europe in the last year. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, discusses building out the hyperscale cloud to address the legitimate digital sovereignty needs, and other compliance needs, of European countries.

The source code for a trojan program that infected hundreds of thousands of internet-of-things devices and used them to launch distributed denial-of-service attacks has been published online, paving the way for more such botnets.

Splunk solutions help Cox Automotive keep critical services online during revenue-generating events, monitor its products and IT infrastructure across all 28 Cox Automotive brands, and identify new revenue streams.

Microsoft is winding down the Azure RemoteApp cloud-based app hosting service and directing customers to Citrix XenApp Express for their cloud-based app hosting needs. XenApp Express will be based on the existing, full-featured XenApp and XenDesktop service, currently available in Citrix Cloud. Citrix is offering existing Azure RemoteApp customers a special promotion: subscribe to the Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops package at half of the regular price.

Juniper Networks unveiled extensions to its software-defined security architecture that enable security policies to be enforced all the way down to specific network ports. The new Policy Enforcer software both automates the enforcement of security policies and quarantines infected endpoints by invoking a Junos Space Security Director software.

Enterprise content management technology and services vendor Dell EMC Enterprise Content Division has introduced Dell EMC InfoArchive as a Service, the latest addition to the division’s roster of managed service systems.

Invincea, the machine learning endpoint security company dedicated to killing threats without impacting business performance, announced the appointment of Christopher Day as Chief Information Security Officer.

Microsoft’s third annual Connect() developer event will be November 16 and 17 in New York City. This event will touch on AI, data, microservices, and more traditional .NET and developer-tool topics.

Kaspersky Lab announced that the company was named partner of the month for August 2016 by Citrix Ready, a program that helps customers identify third-party solutions that are recommended to enhance virtualization, networking, and cloud computing solutions from Citrix.

Pure Storage, the market’s leading independent solid-state array vendor, announced that its industry-leading, Satmetrix-audited Net Promoter Score (NPS) has increased to 83.5. The improved score is a reflection of the company’s dedicated focus on building a storage business based on customer success, and ranks among the top one percent of Satmetrix audited scores across consumer and enterprise businesses.
