XenDesktop 5.6 was released, and with it the Personal vDisk is born. This technology stemmed from the RingCube purchase and could be the holy grail of VDI. At an event Wednesday in San Francisco, Apple's chief executive, Tim Cook, and his lieutenants unveiled the third iteration of the device, which they simply called "the new iPad" rather than applying a specific name for the product.
